Our family would love to pray for you!
This is Pastor Buddy Blake! This amazing man is a 27-year
veteran of the United States Air Force, expert clock designer and
builder and my father. I have been blessed to have a father who always
made God a part of our family. As far back as I can remember, my father
(then in the Air Force) created family time for God, in prayer when we
were sick, before meals, "Come to Jesus Meetings" for discipline and
sometimes even conducting our own Church services at home.
Since his youth he has demonstrated a heart for God and a hunger for
an understanding of God's word. He personally baptized all his
grandchildren and has been an active member of churches his whole life.
Throughout his church involvement he has served as President of the
congregation, leader of many prayer groups and could often be found at
the hospital praying with the sick and hurting.
He earned a Masters in Education and History in college and at 60
years of age he decided to return to school and earn his Doctorate in
Theology. He was ordained in 1999 and after two careers as an Air Force
officer and a clock maker -- he became a Pastor. I am very proud of my
Father, the Pastor of St John Lutheran Church in Port Authur TX. He has
a heart for prayer and will faithfully lift your request to the Lord
each morning in Prayer.
